Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in grants and contracts management is preferred, ideally in the housing area
  • Significant experience in developing systems for data collection, compliance monitoring, benchmarking and program reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication/editing skills
  • Strong abilities in Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, including the creation of hyperlinks, pivot tables (cross tabs), v-look ups, and data analysis and visualization
  • An ability to work collaboratively within a high paced multidisciplinary environment with many competing priorities
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines and to exercise good judgment when supporting the borough offices’ grant management and reporting needs
  • A strong attention to detail in all facets of the work

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Grants & Contracts and work closely with the Citywide Housing Director and Deputy Director. Oversee all aspects of LSNYC’s citywide housing grants
  • Supervise 3 Central grants staff members and the eviction prevention work of the Benefits & Veterans Grants Specialist
  • Prepare Annual Citywide Housing Staffing Reports for Citywide Housing Funders
  • Conduct periodic data runs and analysis in response to requests from the Citywide Housing Director and Deputy Director
  • Supervise the preparation of data-clean-up reports, final UAC/RTC and AHTP/TRC reports to OCJ, review and correction of DHCIs, application for Benefit Verification Requests, income waiver application process, UAC/RTC and AHTP/TRC ‘roll-over’/case carryover process, tenant organizing CBO contracts, reporting and invoicing process
  • Manage housing contract development, citywide housing audits by LSNYC auditors as well as funder audits
  • Cover for Central Housing Grants Specialists and Associate when they are unavailable
  • Manage the updating of the Reported Housing Cases (RHC) Screen in Legal Server
  • Manage other related grants duties, as time permits, assigned by the Director of Grants & Contract Management

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with NYC and NYS grants supporting the provision of civil legal services preferred
