Summary

Join Xero's App Ecosystem team as a Developer Evangelist on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will onboard new apps into Xero's app partner program, manage relationships with app partners, and engage developers through various content formats. Responsibilities include answering technical questions, certifying integrations, and creating videos, blog posts, and code samples. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a strong communicator, passionate about developer engagement, and has experience with content creation and developer communities. Accounting knowledge and software engineering experience are beneficial. Requirements

  • Self motivated and team oriented - Able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills - Ability to discuss technical topics in a clear and concise way, confident in conversations about APIs, accounting and driving commercial success
  • Passion for inspiring developers through creative code and content - Experience with basic video editing and other content creation fundamentals
  • Experience participating in developer communities online or in person (ideally including presenting technical topics to a developer audience preferred but not essential )

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new apps into Xero’s app partner program. This may include: answering technical questions from app partners; certifying integrations to ensure they meet our high standards; employing analytical skills and creativity to solve for complex use cases
  • Manage relationships with various app partners through Salesforce, email, and meetings - Aiming to drive awareness of Xero APIs and app partner program
  • Engage and educate developers through videos, blog posts, code samples on Github, and present technical content to developers on webinars and at live events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Any formal training or understanding of accounting concepts would be highly beneficial
  • Any previous exposure to software engineering would be highly beneficial
