Join Aequilibrium as a Development Manager to lead and mentor a high-performance remote technology and engineering team across Digital Transformation and Innovation business units. You will oversee large-scale projects (40+ staff), focusing on enterprise-grade web, mobile, and VR applications. Responsibilities include working with executive teams and clients, managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring client satisfaction, and establishing business goals. The ideal candidate is a seasoned tech leader with extensive experience in software delivery, Agile methodologies, and client interaction. A strong understanding of multi-tier services, cloud technologies, and financial services is crucial. Requirements
- Have experience with both Technical Professional Services (ideally financial services) and Product Development (XR/AI is a bonus!)
- Have knowledge of software lifecycle, modern testing methods, design patterns, continuous integration, and Agile methodology
- Have experience delivering complex digital apps and products
- Have experience building enterprise SaaS products and implementing software patterns; you understand how to make a customizable core product
- Have a strong understanding of multi-tier services, web-based testing techniques, and developing for the cloud, including DevOps, AWS, Azure, Continuous Delivery, and Agile development
- Have experience with regular client-facing interactions to gather feedback, determine future resource requirements and propose solutions
- Have experience with balancing the needs of the client with the needs of the company
- Have experience working with sales teams to provide estimates and develop RFPs
- Have experience liaising with HR teams and Project Managers to plan ahead on future resource requirements
- Have effective and diplomatic leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Have the ability to take high-level direction, work through ambiguity, and execute in an iterative mode
- Have excellent time-management and organizational abilities that facilitate structured work
- Have experience with leading cross-functional remote development teams and partnering across complex organizations within North America
- Have a Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the executive team, development team and clients to ensure that changing resource and project requirements are understood and met
- Participate in client pitches and proposals by preparing project budgets, timelines and related materials
- Develop and execute customer success strategy to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Monitor client delivery health, identifying potential issues, and proactively addressing them to ensure satisfaction
- Lead and mentor a high-performance development team
- Work with the leadership team to establish business goals and associated metrics (chargeability, utilization, customer NPS) for the development team
- Execute reporting activities to track progress and guide focus
- Manage the delivery of multiple high-profile projects
- Work with engineering leadership to define, execute, and align on a unified technology strategy
- Work with technology leadership to pitch, architect, estimate, design, and deliver tailored product services for various industries, in particular, financial services

- Design technical processes for efficient operations, timely execution, and clear decision-making
- Ensure the technology team's development and organizational plans are aligned with company objectives
- Translate technology vision, strategy, and priorities into clear and actionable objectives, ensuring all stakeholders, including leadership and engineering teams, remain consistently up-to-date
- Partner with other team leaders to prioritize and lead technology recruiting, retention, and branding
- Be an engaged department manager focused on setting SMART goals and delivering results
- Own part of the technology budget
- Offer high-level design input to apply development best practices and design patterns
- Work with company leadership on strategic planning for future resourcing requirements aligned with evolving business objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience delivering tailored software solutions in financial services, gaming and/or education
- Have experience delivering solutions using the Backbase, VeriPark, eBankIT, or Forge digital banking platforms
- Have UX design experience or knowledge of core design principles
- Have VR, AI or machine learning experience
