Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, including: EC2 (AMI management, scaling, EBS volumes, patching), VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, NAT gateways, S3 (bucket management, lifecycle policies, encryption), and IAM (roles, policies, least-privilege access)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Ability to perform routine patching, backups, and maintenance tasks
  • Strong skills in incident response and root cause analysis
  • Solid understanding of AWS cost optimization and resource monitoring
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain SOPs
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Provision and manage EC2 instances, including AMI management, instance scaling, EBS volumes, and patching
  • Configure and maintain VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and NAT gateways
  • Manage S3 buckets, lifecycle policies, encryption, and access controls
  • Perform routine patching, backups, and maintenance tasks
  • Handle incident response and root cause analysis related to AWS resources
  • Monitor resource utilization and optimize for performance and cost
  • Implement and manage IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access
  • Document architecture, changes, and standard operating procedures
  • Assist IT Team with other projects, initiatives, or tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience with Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes
  • Exposure to IT support tasks beyond DevOps responsibilities
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, ISO)
  • Experience working in remote or hybrid teams
