Summary

Join Kao USA as a US Digital Commerce Intern and support TikTok Shop initiatives for John Frieda, Jergens, and Biore brands. You will manage and optimize the TikTok Shop storefront, collaborate with marketing and customer care teams, plan and execute live streams, monitor TikTok trends, create engaging video content, track performance metrics, respond to customer inquiries, and stay updated on TikTok Shop policies. This role requires a student pursuing a bachelor's degree, 1+ years of experience with TikTok and Instagram, a passion for beauty products and social media, and prior internship experience in a digital, social, or marketing/sales role. Requirements

  • Student pursuing bachelor's degree required; All majors considered. Available 25+hours during the Fall semester
  • 1+ years of experience in the TikTok and Instagram platforms is a requirement: knowledge of the creative editing capabilities, music library, and trendspotting is a must
  • Consumer and social media obsessed
  • Creative mindset with an eye for visual storytelling
  • Passionate about beauty products, brands, social media trends, and influencers/creators
  • Prior internship experience in a digital, social, or marketing/sales

Responsibilities

  • Help manage and optimize our TikTok Shop storefront
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer care teams to ensure product listings are accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand standards
  • Help plan, coordinate, and execute TikTok Shop Live Streams, including product preparation, live chat moderation, and post-stream recaps
  • Monitor TikTok trends and identify opportunities for product promotion and influencer/affiliate collaboration
  • Support the creation and scheduling of short-form video content that drives traffic and conversions
  • Track performance metrics and provide weekly reports on engagement, sales, and customer feedback
  • Respond to customer inquiries and comments on TikTok in a timely and brand-appropriate manner
  • Stay up to date with TikTok Shop policies, tools, and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including global, legal, and shopper teams, to achieve brand objectives
  • Coordinate with external partners and agencies to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials and services
  • Handle ad hoc/flex requests as needed
