Summary

Join Trustly's growing People team as a Director, Global Total Rewards to lead the international rewards strategy. This critical leadership role demands strategic thinking about global compensation and benefits, requiring a hands-on approach. You will be instrumental in developing innovative rewards programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent worldwide. Collaborate with regional People team members, hiring managers, and leadership to align total rewards programs with business needs and local market requirements. Regularly monitor external trends and competitive landscapes to adjust rewards programs and maintain Trustly's position as an employer of choice. Establish and measure key metrics to understand the effectiveness of the total rewards strategy and influence future program design. Partner with Finance and regional leaders for annual strategic planning and budget management. Lead initiatives to enhance employee awareness and understanding of compensation and benefit programs globally. Develop and maintain a comprehensive global job leveling and career architecture framework. Support the overall People team mission by taking on ad-hoc projects to drive global talent acquisition and retention strategies.

Requirements

  • 10+ yearsโ€™ experience in People/HR, with at least 5 years dedicated to building and managing a global total rewards function
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing innovative, scalable, and equitable international Total Rewards programs in a fast-paced environment, for North America, Europe and Brazil
  • Ability to build employee-centric rewards programs while expertly balancing global business goals and local financial and legal boundaries
  • Deep analytical skills with the ability to utilize complex data sets to influence decision-making at all levels
  • A collaborator who isnโ€™t afraid to get in the weeds and believes that transparency empowers decision-making and ownership
  • Global mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and outstanding communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, focused on flawlessness in work product and deliverables
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little direction and produce exceptional results; able to thrive in highly dynamic settings and lead and execute multiple projects concurrently

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, design, and execution of the companyโ€™s global compensation, equity, and benefits programs to attract and retain the best talent while balancing business objectives and local market dynamics
  • Design a global total rewards philosophy and framework that is scalable, repeatable, and adaptable to local regulations and cultural norms
  • Design, implement, and iterate on global compensation and equity programs, including sales and executive compensation. Ensure fairness, pay equity, and compliance with all international pay practices and policies
  • Build upon our current benefit programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and ancillary benefits, to provide competitive and locally relevant offerings for our employees worldwide
  • Work collaboratively with regional People team members, hiring managers, and leadership across the organization to ensure total rewards programs are aligned with business needs and local market requirements
  • Regularly monitor external trends and competitive landscapes in key global markets to proactively adjust our rewards programs and maintain our position as an employer of choice
  • Establish and measure key compensation and benefits program metrics to understand the effectiveness of our total rewards strategy and influence future program design
  • Partner with Finance and regional leaders to lead the annual strategic planning for company-wide rewards programs and budgets
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive employee awareness and understanding of all compensation and benefit programs globally
  • Lead the initiative to develop and maintain a comprehensive global job leveling and career architecture framework to ensure consistency and equity across all regions
  • Take on ad-hoc projects to help drive global talent acquisition and retention strategies, supporting the overall People team mission

Preferred Qualifications

Total Rewards experience in the FinTech sector preferred, with private and public company experience a plus
