Summary
Join Method, a global design and engineering consultancy, as a business development leader supporting our Communications Industry Practice. You will engage with executives at existing clients, expand relationships, and leverage your network to identify new clients in the telecommunications, cable/media, and connected business/IoT sectors. Responsibilities include managing and leading new business opportunities, collaborating with internal teams, and analyzing customer needs to identify service offerings. You will need significant experience in the Communications Industry and selling digital/technology solutions. The role requires extensive networking, relationship building, and the ability to qualify prospects and move opportunities through the sales process. Travel is estimated at 30-40% of the time.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience developing new business through your network and prospecting
- 10+ years experience in sales of digital solutions & services
- Demonstrated depth of experience in the Communications Industry
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with expert practitioners to move prospects through the sales process and close new business opportunities
- Demonstrated history of achieving and surpassing sales goals
- A broad network at medium-to-large companies in the Communications Industry
- Top notch organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to multitask, be self-motivated and naturally relationship-driven are also critical skills
- Other important areas of understanding / expertise include general business acumen, strategic thinking, problem solving/analysis, financial management, customer/client focus, communication skills
Responsibilities
- Engage deeply into 1-2 existing Method clients to establish yourself as a strategic and experienced business development executive that can help executives in this industry solve problems and create value
- Execute tactics to expand relationships within these 1-2 existing clients. You will actively spend time with clients, at client offices, at events…. Wherever necessary to be with client executives creating opportunity to network and build relationships
- Leverage existing networks to identify prospects to speak with and discuss Method’s services, with a particular focus on the Communications Industry
- Create opportunities to engage clients socially to build relationships and new opportunities
- Actively manage prospect lists/lead sources. Manage lead management tool(s) (e.g., Salesforce)
- Learn and become expert in Method’s services and solutions
- Learn and become an expert in existing Method sales materials, case studies, etc.. Develop new sales materials to support prospecting meetings
- Analyze customer needs, including current business obstacles, and identify opportunities and scope potential service offerings
- Independently lead initial conversations with prospects around Method’s bespoke digital solutions & services
- Leverage industry experience in Communications to deepen connections with prospects and demonstrate industry understanding
- Qualify prospects and opportunities to help determine fit for Method’s services. Differentiate between motivated and non-motivated buyers
- Partner with Method as well as GlobalLogic and Hitachi’s global teams (when necessary) to move opportunities through the sales process
- Travel as necessary to pursue business develop opportunities (~30-40% of the time)
