Summary

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 10+ years of results driven business development experience in the telecommunications industry required
- 3+ years of experience of direct sales experience required
- A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree
- Successful track record in quota-driven environments and superior leadership skills required
- Proven negotiation and analytical skills with professional business acumen
- Ability to work independently: set schedule, meet with customers/operations to ensure overall satisfaction
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with customers
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in written formats
- Ability to give direction, adapt to change, and work in a team environment
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential markets, and business opportunities
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company objectives
- Analyze competitive landscape and create strategies to differentiate the company in the market
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders
- Act as a primary point of contact for high-level customer negotiations and discussions
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with potential customers and partners
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, including identifying new business channels and optimizing existing ones
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to closing and post-deal follow-up
- Ensure sales goals are met or exceeded by building an effective sales pipeline and converting leads into long-term customers
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals and/or account managers to ensure high performance and professional growth
- Provide hands-on support to business development team members as needed, including lead qualification, proposal creation, and customer engagement
- Coordinate with operations’ teams to ensure business development strategies are fully integrated with company objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of business development initiatives
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development and sales efforts
- Regularly update the executive team on business development progress, challenges, and opportunities
- Participate in networking events, industry conferences, and other relevant platforms to build relationships and expand the company’s presence
- Continuously assess and refine business development processes and tools for efficiency and effectiveness
- Implement best practices and strategies that enhance the overall business development function
- Other duties as assigned
