Summary

Join Verra Mobility as the Director, VMOS, and play a dual role within the Government Solutions (GS) business unit. As the VMOS Leader, champion, train, and deploy the Verra Mobility Operating System (VMOS) to the GS team. Take functional responsibility for shared operational support services. Work across the organization to identify, define, standardize, and champion mechanisms for new ways of working at GS. Develop support for organizational initiatives with senior leadership. Facilitate the identification of timelines, dashboards, and scorecards for each initiative. As a functional leader, demonstrate VMOS excellence and lift the entire GS organization. The Internal Operations Leader role involves gaining alignment across the leadership team for shared services functions, SLAs, revamped processes, and developing a strategy and resourcing plan.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of leading the deployment of an organization-wide “business system”
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness and experience with supply chain, EH&S, and quality
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Flexible and adaptable in fast-paced, ever-changing business environment

Responsibilities

  • Own the deployment and measurement of progress on VMOS journey – Ops Reviews, kaizen sustainment, strategy deployment process, visual management, etc
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Identify the right initiatives to be deployed to each team utilizing VMOS toolset, and ensure they are being fully developed and implemented through visual management
  • Coach, mentor, and train leaders and associates on VMOS tools and methodologies, such as problem solving, kaizen, value stream mapping, standard work, daily/visual management, , etc
  • Partner with business leaders to develop the mechanisms to identify and prioritize growth opportunities, such as new product development, market expansion, customer retention, etc
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement, fostering a high-performance team environment
  • Support large-scale organization wide projects that incorporate a proactive and innovative solution to addressing business challenges and achieving organizational goals and objectives
  • Establish formal VMOS champions training and thresholds to maintain level attainment through ongoing engagement in VMOS events delivering sustainable results
  • Gain alignment across the leadership team for vision for the shared services functions, SLA’s to support the functions, revamped processes to address inefficiencies and gaps, and develop strategy and resourcing plan to deliver measurable results
  • Establish clear objectives and measures of performance ( KPI’s ) as part of standard work and daily management deployment
  • Drive best in class daily management and problem solving to ensure that we are driving improvement before we miss
  • Assess the needs of the organization and build the most effective team by executing your talent strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with managing customer / vendor contracts a plus
  • A master’s degree or MBA is preferred
