Requirements

  • Startup mentality with a sense of urgency and dedication to impactful results
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience (pharmaceutical experience preferred) and 5+ years managing direct reports and/or external resources
  • Proven success with cloud-based commercial applications (CRM, data warehousing; Veeva preferred) and expertise in IT service delivery models and regulatory compliance
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated business acumen and communication abilities
  • Passion for innovation, cybersecurity (NIST), and emerging technologies like AI
  • Flexibility to travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align technology strategies, focusing on cybersecurity, AI, and governance
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable, innovative technology solutions aligned with business goals
  • Lead lifecycle management for commercial data and applications
  • Oversee the implementation and management of commercial systems, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes through performance analysis and optimization
  • Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and expenses for commercial IT initiatives
  • Provide user training, support, and education to enhance technical competencies
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for technology return on investment and value generation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical experience
  • Candidates in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area to attend key in-office meetings, training, and activities
