Join Vanta, a company dedicated to securing the internet and protecting consumer data, as the Director of Communications. You will be part of a growing team, responsible for crafting and executing Vanta's communications strategy across various internal and external audiences. Reporting to the VP of Communications and Content, you will play a critical role in amplifying Vanta's brand and market vision. This hands-on position requires a passion for compelling narratives, strong industry relationships, and a willingness to experiment with AI. You will drive external communications, collaborate with PR agencies, grow thought leadership, and partner with internal teams on various initiatives. The ideal candidate is a communications expert with extensive experience in B2B/SaaS/Security.
Requirements
- 10-12 years of experience in Communications either in-house, agency or a combination of both
- You have deep new and traditional media relationships, strong writing skills, a finger on the pulse of B2B/SaaS/Security trends and excitement to experiment with AI
- Youβre an all-around Comms rockstar with a passion for both internal and external communications initiatives
- You're a self-starter who loves working across different teams in the company for alignment and clarity
Responsibilities
- Drive the execution of our external communications strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders including product and growth marketing, content, analyst relations and leadership teams
- Work closely with external PR agency partners to craft and execute our communications strategy focusing on global top-tier business, tech, and security media across traditional and new (substack, podcasts influencers) media
- Grow and diversify our thought-leadership around topics of AI, security, trust in an AI world, and the future of automation and uncover new channels to increase Vanta brand awareness
- Partner cross functionally on external events and brand marketing opportunities to amplify Vantaβs leadership in AI-powered trust management
- Develop and execute internal communications moments including monthly All Hands; weekly internal newsletter for cross-company alignment; team spotlights, async video updates and more
- Partner closely with Operations, Marketing and Leadership teams on a variety of operational efficiency initiatives aimed at improving how we work and communicate as a fast-growing global organization
- Lead initiatives on the Comms and Marketing teams for leveraging AI to scale our efforts and increase impact
