Summary
Join Illustrative Mathematics as the Director, Employee Success Operations, leading human resources operations, including compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee support. Manage a small team and collaborate with the VP, Employee Success to build effective people systems. Lead entire departments, aligning them with IM’s strategic goals, focusing on long-term planning, budgetary oversight, and cross-departmental collaboration. Develop and lead IM’s total reward strategy, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Build strong relationships across the organization and resolve conflicts. The role requires strategic vision and direction for employee success operations aligned with organizational goals.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Compensation, Benefits, or Human Resources
- At least 3 years in a leadership role managing individuals or teams
- Prior experience implementing total reward strategies in a fast paced, high growth organization
- Prior experience managing multi-state state and federal compliance and related organizational policies and procedures
- Must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the USA
Responsibilities
- Lead, create, coordinate, and execute strategic compensation policies, processes, practices, advice, and consultation aligned with IM’s mission, compensation philosophy, and talent strategy
- Develop and lead IM’s total reward strategy in alignment with talent goals and organizational values
- Lead as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions and interpreting policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
- Provide the strategic vision and direction for employee success operations that is aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements
- Build strong relationships across the organization to maintain a healthy organizational climate and resolve conflicts when needed
- Ensure team compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- SHRM-CP, PHR, CCP, CBP, CEBS certification
- Strong computer skills with cloud-based systems, especially Google Workspace applications, Asana, Notion, Zoom, and Slack
