Requirements

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the merchandising goals and overall business objectives
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the merchandising organization; use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and systems; deliver weekly/monthly financial close, using financial systems and advanced Excel functions to work with large data sets
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the merchandising organization; act as a trusted advisor to merchandising leaders, providing insights and recommendations
