Requirements
- A Bachelorβs Degree is preferred
- Experienced leader and human resources executive with appropriate industry experience with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex human resource related documents
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints from people at all levels
- Well organized, self-directed and decisive
- Supply and support their own internet services
- Maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is a requirement of all work from home position
Responsibilities
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues
- Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Partners with the legal department as needed/required
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Review existing training programs to make modifications and enhancements
- Prioritize management needs to develop new programs that will improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve
- Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions
- Review and advise on compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance
- Evaluate and advise on the planning of programs/strategies to attract, motivate and retain the people of resources of the corporation
- Continue improving programs and practices to meet the operational people issues of the organization
- Assist and make recommendations to HR Exec Team on ways to strengthen employee engagement company wide
- Enhance onboarding experience and manage new hires touch points such as first week, completion of orientation, access to company store, etc
- Actively work with managers on how to effectively engage employees remotely
- Support to the managers by creating a career growth plan for the employees and ensure that the employee receives all the guidance and trainings in order to grow
- Oversee Human Resources team members productivity, performance and quality of work
- Manage staff PTO and overtime requests in line with business needs
- Report on staffing objectives, statuses and successes
- Communicate with managers to ensure resources are being provided timely and in accordance with business needs
- Work with the HR Generalist to improve interviewing/hiring methods based on trends of turnover
- Other duties & special projects, as assigned and based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
