Summary
Join Panorama Education as their Information Technology Director and lead their IT function, managing internal services, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a secure technology environment. You will oversee IT infrastructure, employee support, asset management, compliance, and strategic planning, providing leadership and direction on technology used at Panorama. Panorama offers a friendly, collaborative team environment and the opportunity to work fully remote within the Continental United States. The starting base salary is $166,000, with additional compensation based on experience and skills, including bonuses, equity awards, and region-specific benefits.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience supporting IT services and developing technology-driven business processes
- Minimum of 5 years people management experience
- Experience supporting global remote teams, particularly in a fully distributed work environment
- Experience or training in GSuite, MacOS, and Linux
- Experience leading IT projects involving change management
- Self-motivated; driven, cares about the quality, presentation and delivery of the work
- Ability to make decisions, shift priorities and manage time to meet changing and evolving needs
- Flexible, dependable and consistent; proactively follows up and provides updates
- Continuously researches and gathers knowledge from network and external experts to stay on top of practices and procedures in the IT field
- Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and teammates cross-functionally
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the companyโs IT vision, ensuring IT strategy aligns with company-wide business goals and operational priorities
- Own and drive IT budget planning and cost optimization strategies, ensuring technology investments align with business priorities and long-term sustainability
- Support a small team of IT professionals, fostering a proactive and service-oriented culture
- Oversee IT vendor relationships, ensuring Panorama maximizes value from key SaaS, hardware, and service contracts while maintaining cost efficiency and security compliance
- Regularly present IT strategy, key initiatives, and operational metrics to executive leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals
- Ensure IT services effectively support a globally distributed workforce, including employees across multiple countries and time zones, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and security policies
- Manage cloud-based platforms as primary administrated by I.T., such as GSuite, Zoom, Cloudlock, and more
- Coordinate IT asset management and deployment for MacBook laptops
- Provide technical support for employees in multiple time zones and jurisdictions on their MacOS desktop and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure based Ubuntu environments
- In collaboration with the information security team, ensure a secure IT environment that meets all SOC 2 certification requirements
- Scale IT onboarding and offboarding processes
- Oversee IT service delivery standards, ensuring efficient support operations while using metrics to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science or related technology field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Agile I.T. methodologies or Objective and Key Results procedures
- Familiarity with IT security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2
- Experience supporting VDI environments
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
- Experience in Edtech
