Summary

Join Certus as the Director of Business Development and drive sales growth for Workforce180 and Metrix Learning products. You will develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers in Workforce Boards, State DOLs, and other organizations. This role requires a deep understanding of the products and the ability to present solutions effectively to a broad audience. Success in this position demands a consultative sales approach, strong communication skills, and experience in the workforce development and government agency sectors. You will be responsible for accurate sales forecasting and reporting, building strong internal relationships, and working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Requirements

  • Have Workforce Development and Government Agency, as well as Non-Profit sales experience
  • Have experience selling in a Software-as-a-Services industry. Demonstrate the proven ability to listen to and interpret customer needs and requirements and present a solution
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and relevant reporting based upon realistic timelines
  • Employ a consultative, value-based-driven sales methodology
  • Have the ability to penetrate and sell to executive-level decision-makers
  • Have the ability to sell to multiple constituencies within an organization
  • Be able to work proactively and act independently
  • Possess a competitive nature with a need to succeed well working in a team environment
  • Have the ability to work with little supervision. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have experience with Salesforce and Microsoft products

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of Metrix Learning and Workforce180 products and how they benefit our clients
  • Identify and prioritize target and key national, regional, state and local accounts
  • Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses, the industry, and the competitive landscape
  • Drive new customer business through value selling
  • Conduct product and value proposition demonstrations for a broad audience of decision-makers including senior management for potential new customers
  • Develop a key understanding of growth in new and existing accounts to help develop our land and expand strategy
  • Present solutions via online meeting technology
  • Establish a productive relationship with marketing based on frequent communication, collaboration, and the effective allocation of marketing investment
  • Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key personnel
