Summary
Join Intermex Wire Transfer as the Director of Business Development and lead a team of six Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to drive strategic growth across Southern California. This role combines leadership (75%) and direct sales (25%), requiring you to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while also engaging in B2B sales to secure new retail partners. You will analyze sales trends, conduct performance reviews, and develop action plans to optimize regional performance and improve customer satisfaction. The position involves extensive travel (65%+) within Southern California and is remote, overseeing operations in the West. You will also identify new product or service opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance offerings. The potential total compensation is $200,000โ$300,000 USD.
Requirements
- Proven track record of selling to small and mid-sized retail businesses (SMBs)
- Demonstrated success in expanding customer bases and driving revenue growth
- Minimum of 5 yearsโ experience leading B2B sales teams within a defined geographic territory
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory (65%+ travel required)
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing BDR team to exceed sales targets and expand market presence
- Conduct regular sales calls and performance reviews to assess district progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions
- Analyze sales trends, customer feedback, and market data to inform strategic decisions and optimize regional performance
- Develop and execute action plans to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Prospect and close new retail partners through in-person B2B sales engagements
- Promote Intermexโs Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions, including International Wire Transfers, Bill Payments, Check Cashing, and Mobile Top-Up services
- Conduct On-Site Business Reviews (OBRs) to strengthen client relationships and identify growth opportunities
- Identify and recommend new product or service opportunities based on market trends and customer needs
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support product enhancements and service delivery improvements
