Summary

Join KCAS Bio's Global Sales team as a Director of Business Development and contribute to the advancement of global health. This fully remote position, ideally based in the Greater Boston area, focuses on developing and maintaining business relationships. You will be responsible for achieving sales goals, identifying new customers, and utilizing advanced selling techniques. The role requires strong communication and CRM proficiency, along with experience in the life sciences industry. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience in the life sciences industry with 1-3 years in a direct selling role or client management
  • Previous client-facing interaction required
  • Proven ability to set and achieve sales targets and build excellent relationships with new and existing customers
  • Outstanding communication skills including interpersonal; email; phone calls; PowerPoint; customer presentations, etc. are essential
  • Ability to be a self-starter and entrepreneurial as well as to collaborate with internal colleagues
  • Proficient in MS Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (MS Project a plus)
  • Proactive and able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Organized, detailed oriented, and a strong ability to solve problems are necessary

Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve or exceed territory sales goals by maintaining existing business, expanding the breadth of business within existing accounts, and working independently to grow new business within territory accounts
  • Be responsible for the identification and establishment of potential customers; actively prospecting, qualifying and engaging new leads; following up on 'leads' identified through our website, industry research, Salesforce CRM, or through word-of-mouth
  • Demonstrate use of advanced selling skills in the field, connecting with the customer, asking valuable questions about the clientโ€™s work, creating a value proposition of KCAS Bio's capabilities, and successfully closing sales opportunities
  • Learn & demonstrate clear services/technology expertise to confidently detail the capabilities KCAS Bio provides to clients
  • Document meeting minutes, e-mails, and phone conversations with customers and enter each activity into the Salesforce CRM system
  • Be responsible for supporting the development and submission of proposals or Statements of Work (SOW) to customers and following-up to assure the SOW captures the scope of clientโ€™s project
  • Actively update and maintain his/her accounts and contacts within our CRM systems (Salesforce & HubSpot).  Review and provide a daily update of current opportunities in their sales pipeline within Salesforce
  • Be responsible for the preparation of materials for vendor exhibitions and professional conferences
  • Work to build a positive awareness of the KCAS Bio brand through participating in professional conferences and through social media efforts
  • Perform any other duties as required or assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in bioanalytical services for biologics and/or next generation therapies (cell therapies and gene therapies) considered an advantage for this position
  • CRO/CDMO industry experience preferred
