Summary
Join Cerba Research as the Executive Director of Business Development for the Eastern North America territory. You will drive commercial performance, lead the business development team, and establish and execute the regional strategy. This pivotal role involves impacting the global business as part of the North American leadership team. You will lead a team, define and execute business development strategies, optimize commercial solutions, coach and develop team members, and leverage resources for market expansion. The ideal candidate possesses experience in developing commercial strategies within a testing or clinical research environment, leading teams, and communicating effectively with sales teams and customers. A Master's degree in science is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Developing a commercial strategy for a service line within a testing or clinical research environment
- Experience leading people to achieve great things, in a commercial setting
- Being highly effective in communicating and engaging a sales team and diverse customer base
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, basic science, and translational science
- Progressive career as a sales leader within a commercial setting, selling lab testing or clinical research to the BioPharma industry
Responsibilities
- Drive commercial performance and lead the BD team to achieve success
- Establish and execute the strategy for the high value Eastern US territory
- Impact the global Cerba Research business through involvement as part of the North American leadership team
- Lead a North America Eastern based Business Development team, bringing a diversity of thought to this team and at times inspiration
- Define and then execute the Business Development commercial strategies for the Eastern US region. This remit will include the commercial process for Specialty and Central Laboratory Solutions, ensuring that any new business is aligned to a mid and long term strategy
- Review and if necessary, revise and optimize the suite of commercial solutions that Cerba takes to market for its customers
- Be a coach and leader for the commercial team you lead, developing individuals and increasing performance
- Leverage resources along the commercial life cycle, defining the best go to market approach for new generation of BioPharma customers
- Operate as a true partner to stakeholders across the whole organisation to identify, new market expansion, product opportunities and create cross-functional collaboration plans
- Evaluation of new customer partnerships that increase revenue opportunities
- Oversee North America sales operations and sales forecasting. Develop and implement metrics that are clearly communicated within the functions
