Summary

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in channel sales, employer sales, business development, or comparable roles, with at least 3+ years in a sales leadership role managing channel sales teams or partnerships
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and leading channel partner networks, preferably with Health Plans and reseller partners, to drive sales across companies of all sizes
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills with a passion for developing talent and managing partner relationships
  • Strong analytical abilities to dive into metrics, forecast sales, and optimize performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging partners and senior stakeholders
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a track record of documenting deals and managing CRM systems
  • Familiarity with standard contract language and deal negotiation

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a channel sales strategy to meet annual bookings goals for Swordโ€™s products in the mid-market segment, including identifying and onboarding high-value channel partners to expand market reach
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of channel sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while attracting and retaining top talent
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with channel partners, such as brokers, consultants, and third-party administrators, and collaborating with them to co-develop effective sales strategies
  • Partnering with marketing, product, client success, and other departments to align on channel messaging, partner enablement, events, and product feedback, ensuring seamless handoffs from channel-driven sales to client success teams
  • Educating channel partners on musculoskeletal spend and the value of Swordโ€™s solutions, while supporting them in negotiating six-figure contracts with senior benefits buyers to secure favorable terms
  • Monitoring and analyzing key channel sales metrics to track progress, forecast opportunities, and optimize partner and team performance, while maintaining accurate documentation of deals and metrics in CRM systems
  • Staying informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and mid-market needs to position Sword as a trusted partner for channel networks and employers
  • Championing personal growth and career development for team members by providing regular coaching and feedback to drive individual and team success

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, benefits, or musculoskeletal care sales is a plus
