Director of Engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of proven experience in strong leadership roles, preferably within data or software engineering fields
• Deep expertise in designing and managing cloud-based solutions with a strong focus on data integrity and resiliency
• Strong understanding of agile development principles and tools
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering leadership across the entire organization to execute on large evolutionary projects underway
• Collaborate with leadership to raise the bar on our engineering process and execution
• Lead and mentor teams of diverse engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
• Establish clear goals and provide guidance to ensure the successful execution of programs and initiatives
• Drive the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available SaaS services and data engineering pipelines
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the software development process
• Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, promoting effective communication, coordination, and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders, technical program managers, and stakeholders to deliver value, drive operational excellence, and ensure a highly reliable overall architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, modern python development stacks and modern data engineering tooling is a plus
• Experience working in a regulated industry, such as finance, is a plus

Benefits

• Base pay range: $192,000 — $330,000 USD
