Summary

Pattern Data is seeking a strategic Director of Finance to oversee financial operations, collaborate with the executive team on financial strategies, conduct financial analysis, identify and mitigate financial risks, and advise leadership on strategic finance matters. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, 5-10+ years of financial planning or financial strategy ownership, strong analytical skills, and experience working at a high-growth stage company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar area
• 5-10+ years of financial planning or financial strategy ownership for business operations

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow financial operations within Pattern
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, general accounting, accounts receivable/payable, cash flow, variance analysis, and tax compliance
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop financial and operational strategies to manage cash flow and maximize business and strategic impact
• Conduct financial analysis in multiple areas of the business, and present financial reports to stakeholders on an ongoing basis to support informed decision-making
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect organizational assets
• Advise leadership and partners on strategic finance by supporting priorities and providing a forward-looking lens for the business
• Work closely with all major departments (e.g., sales, HR, product, etc.) to understand and analyze financial impacts to the overall business

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with effectively presenting financial information to diverse stakeholders, including investors, board members, the executive team, and functional areas
• Proven track record in financial analysis, including the ability to create financial models, interpret financial data, assess trends, and make data-driven recommendations
