Summary
Join Invisible Technologies as their Director of IT, leading the strategic direction and operational excellence of the global IT function. You will act as both a visionary architect and hands-on operational leader, scaling and maturing IT infrastructure and services to support a rapidly growing, remote-first workforce and global client base. Define and own a long-term IT roadmap aligned with Invisible’s business objectives, working closely with executive stakeholders. Optimize the performance, resilience, and security of the core technology ecosystem, ensuring systems and services are highly available, cost-effective, flexible, and scalable. Lead a global IT support function, manage a 24/5 globally staffed IT team, and oversee core enterprise systems. Partner with the VP of Security on governance, compliance, and audits. Maintain vendor relationships and manage IT-related budgets. Lead cross-functional initiatives and stay ahead of emerging technologies. Travel as needed to support physical office infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading IT functions in globally distributed, fast-scaling organizations
- Expertise in managing and supporting a wide ecosystem of SaaS and cloud platforms (especially Google Workspace Enterprise, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack, and AWS/GCP)
- Familiar with IT security and experience working with security teams on security goals
- Track record of partnering cross-functionally across departments like security, legal, operations, finance, and product
- Ability to travel to physical offices and lead hardware setup and infrastructure scaling efforts
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a visionary IT strategy in alignment with Invisible’s growth and operational goals
- Lead the global IT support function, providing white-glove support and last-line defense for a 350+ core team and 6000+ global contractors across time zones
- Manage a 24/5 globally staffed IT team, ensuring SLAs are met and support experiences are consistently excellent
- Own and manage core enterprise systems (e.g., Rippling, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack, Jira, Clickup, Notion, AWS, GCP), including provisioning, MDM, workflow design, and optimization
- Partner closely with the VP of Security on governance, compliance, SOC2 Type 2 audits, and business continuity
- Oversee procurement, configuration, and support of distributed Mac and Windows devices, as well as remote office hardware, including UniFi networks and Zoom Room systems across multiple locations
- Maintain vendor relationships and manage IT-related budgets, contracts, and lifecycle planning
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving IT, Legal, Security, Finance, and People teams, ensuring technology empowers the broader business
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies (e.g., LLM platforms and APIs) to inform future tech roadmap and operational improvements
- Travel as needed to support and expand physical office infrastructure
