Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required
  • Three years in upper management required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic development of sales strategies and goals
  • Develop short-term goals that align with long-term goals for achieving sales revenue targets
  • Develop, manage, and communicate competitive customer-centric sales strategies to meet or exceed sales revenue targets, goals, and objectives
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales department; assess the department’s success using these against sales strategies
  • Support the development of sales metrics and forecasting models
  • Build, manage, and coach the leadership of a high-performing customer-centric sales team
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Sales Leadership team; assist with resolution of high-level concerns and issues with customer accounts
  • Set short-term goals that align with long-term goals for sales leadership
  • Manage and report on valuation of customer rebate programs
  • Manage and support development of sales compensation plans
  • Guide development of sales training programs in accordance with the Sales Training Manager, ensuring the sales department is educated on new products, services, and strategies
  • Support forecasting and conduct analysis of hiring needs for the Sales department
  • Develop a sales forecast to meet business objectives, to include, but not limited to, hiring needs, promotions, and customer events
  • Continuously monitor emerging technologies, market trends, and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with sales plans
  • In collaboration with the marketing department, develop market and target customer sales campaigns
  • Attend, collaborate and lead leadership meetings
  • Participate in professional development and attend industry conferences, trade shows, and events to build relationships and promote our products and services
  • Supervisory responsibilities to include, hiring, discipline, and development conversations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

At least five years of industry-related experience is preferred
