Summary
Join Red Clay Consulting as our Director of Sales Operations and leverage your utility industry expertise to craft solutions for clients. You will optimize sales processes, oversee sales technologies, and collaborate with various departments to achieve annual sales goals. This role involves utilizing data analytics, developing sales forecasts, and presenting reports to senior management. You will also mentor Proposal Managers, build sales collateral, and facilitate communication between Sales and other departments. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of utility client needs and relevant applications, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Requirements
- Understand utility clientβs meter-to-cash and customer service business needs
- Be conversant in Oracle Utilities C2M and other meter-to-cash applications
- Understand utility asset management and mobile workforce management business needs
- Be conversant in Oracle Utilities WACS, OFS, and other field and asset management applications
- Ability to understand client needs and tailor creative solutions within implementation, advisory, and managed service offerings
- Ability to build strong partnerships with leadership and resources in different departments
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks to ensure timely delivery of highest criticality items
- Ability to mentor resources and help them meet their career goals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to optimize sales processes and implement sales technologies

Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize end-to-end sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Implement best practices and workflows to streamline the sales lifecycle
- Oversee the management of sales technologies, CRM systems, and other tools
- Collaborate with IT to ensure seamless integration and functionality
- Work closely with other departments, including marketing, finance, and IT, to ensure alignment of sales operations with overall business objectives
- Utilize data analytics to provide insights into sales performance, trends, and opportunities
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop accurate sales forecasts and plans
- Develop and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics
- Monitor performance against forecasts and implement adjustments as needed
- Lead the proposal development process from start to finish through mentorship of Proposal Managers and optimizing the process to produce winning proposals
- Partner with Proposal Managers and various internal contributors to ensure on-time/high-quality proposals that align with the win themes defined by the Sales team
- Mentor Proposal Managers and internal contributors to increase sales acumen and develop sales skill sets across the organization
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Delivery leadership to build out reusable sales collateral
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between Sales and other internal departments
