Summary
Join GuidePoint Security as a Security Solution Engineering Manager, leading and mentoring a team of security solution engineers. You will be responsible for delivering GuidePoint’s service capabilities to clients, acting as a trusted advisor, and uncovering opportunities for complex solutions. The role requires expertise in cybersecurity technologies and the ability to communicate technical information effectively. This remote position requires up to 50% travel within the New England and New York Metro areas; candidates must reside in either Boston or the New York Metro area. Requirements
- Capacity to manage and mentor a team of highly technical solution engineers
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing security controls across a wide range of IT and enterprise business systems
- Proficiency in multiple cybersecurity technologies, including but not limited to: Next-Gen Firewalls, DLP, SSE, NAC, PAM, EDR, NDR, SIEM, APPSEC, CNAP, etc
- Minimum 10 years in an enterprise level security consultative role building and assessing Information Security architectures and programs
- Minimum 5 years experience in a technical leadership role building and managing a team of sales engineers/solution engineers
- Prior experience in a corporate operational or technical leadership role
- Experience with selling cybersecurity technologies and services
- Up to 50% travel is required to clients in New England and New York Metro area
- Must reside in the Boston or New York Metro areas to be considered
Responsibilities
- Responsible for building and managing a team of Security Solution Engineers
- Solution Engineering team is responsible for bringing GuidePoint’s service capabilities to our customers in partnership with Account Management
- Provide mentoring and escalation for solution engineering team
- Be the expert on GuidePoint’s service delivery capabilities
- Uncover opportunities to provide complex solutions to address customer problems and pain points
- Become trusted advisor to GuidePoint’s customer base through transparency, consistency, and expert guidance
- Understand and articulate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Understand cybersecurity product and vendor market landscape, and help customers navigate the complex maze of cybersecurity tools and controls
- Provide thought leadership through regular customer interaction, trade show participation, conference speaking engagements, etc
- Present to customers on cybersecurity market trends, technical product differentiators, and alignment with control frameworks
- Present quarterly on new and emerging security technology areas to internal teams
