Summary

Join Affirm, a company reinventing credit, as their Director of Strategic Partnerships Growth. Lead and expand key strategic relationships, driving tangible growth by identifying new opportunities and developing go-to-market strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Operations) to deliver exceptional results. This leadership role focuses on scalable impact and long-term value creation. You will build trusted relationships with partner organizations and monitor partnership performance using data-driven insights. Advocate for partners while maintaining high standards for performance and innovation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or a similar growth-focused role, ideally in high-growth tech or fintech environments
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable growth through partnerships—not just managing relationships, but expanding them
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to assess complex opportunities and drive deals from ideation to execution
  • Deep understanding of go-to-market strategy development and cross-functional execution
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Highly self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
  • Experience navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities
  • Experience in fintech, e-commerce, or financial services
  • Prior experience working with or within high-impact partner ecosystems

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow key strategic partnerships, focusing on expanding business value, accelerating revenue, and driving customer acquisition
  • Identify new opportunities within existing partner relationships that align with Affirm’s growth objectives
  • Develop and lead go-to-market strategies tailored to each partnership, including cross-functional execution plans
  • Partner with Business Development to structure and negotiate complex partnership agreements that drive meaningful business impact
  • Build trusted relationships at all levels within partner organizations, from working teams to C-level executives
  • Monitor and optimize partnership performance using data-driven insights, ensuring alignment with KPIs and strategic goals
  • Act as the internal advocate for partners, while holding a high standard for performance, innovation, and value creation
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Marketing to influence roadmaps and campaigns that enhance the success of strategic partners

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or other advanced degree a plus
