Summary
Join Bounteous as a Director, Product Management and lead a team of Product Managers, shaping the vision and planning of digital initiatives for clients. You will leverage your industry expertise to guide clients through strategic product direction, addressing both visible and hidden challenges. As a liaison between multidisciplinary teams and clients, you will build solutions, ensuring a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle. This role requires a bias for action and a positive energy to contribute to Bounteous and the Product Team.
Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
- Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
- Support Managing Director in planning, directing, managing, and coordinating day-to-day business activities and product-related projects (agendas, briefings, and wider materials for internal meetings and major client events)
- Actively engage in client communication, working closely with the Client Services and Project Management teams to ensure client satisfaction
- Plan staffing levels and lead recruiting, hiring and onboarding efforts for new direct report team members
- Identify and help to solve Product Team challenges and gaps
- Makes data-driven decisions, with strong analytical skills
- Oversee assigned accounts for all direct reports providing direction and ensuring client satisfaction
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the realization of business outcomes in working solutions
- Constructs comprehensive and effective presentations that translate issues into actionable objectives and a compelling story
- Partner with the Client Services team to identify account growth opportunities and support sales initiatives
- Develop a strong network of relationships with key stakeholders across Bounteous (service lines, client accounts, sector, wider business support teams)
- Has a collaborative spirit and is a team player
- Provide mentorship and career development for team members while maintaining company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and high performance
- Serve as a key contributor to developing Bounteous’ perspective on customer experience; collaborate with digital strategists, technologists, data scientists, and other specialists to craft a powerful point-of-view
- Defines project vision for large and complex projects in the financial services industry
- Creates and executes product strategies for growing/operating digital platforms or ecosystems
- Support Product Managers to develop key financial services industry thought leadership; present our industry point-of-view to senior customers and prospects in account meetings, customer roundtables, conferences, and industry events
- Is digital-savvy and informed on innovations, trends and technologies in the financial services digital space
- Must be resourceful, with the ability to find solutions where they are not obvious
- Develops prioritized roadmaps based on value scoring in collaboration with stakeholders for business initiatives
- Recognizes and synthesizes key findings and develops alternative solutions; comfortable challenging assumptions
- Must be able to manage program-level or enterprise priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience working in a strategic capacity; professional services experience a plus
- Experience working with an Executive Leadership Team and/or C-suite team members; support and facilitation across all internal and external initiatives
- Familiarity with multiple functional suites and software packages for requirements (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Deep knowledge and experience with multiple SDLCs such as Agile, Scrum and traditional waterfall
- Strong foundation in core Product Management skill sets
- Exposure to a wide variety of technology platforms; eg: Drupal, Adobe, Magento, Shopify, OMS, PIMs, etc
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are great assets
- Digital agency experience is a plus
- Willingness to travel
