Join Acadia Pharmaceuticals as the Director, Access and Policy, Germany, a key role within the European Value, Access and Policy team. This position is responsible for achieving and maintaining appropriate pricing and market access strategies in Germany, collaborating with local and European teams. You will develop and execute pricing and access strategies, manage dossiers, identify evidence requirements, and build stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in market access within a pharmaceutical/biotech organization, with a focus on rare diseases and the CNS realm. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field required
  • Targeting 10 years of progressively increasing responsibilities, with 5 years’ leadership experience in Market Access within a pharmaceutical/biotech organization and significant scientific exposure within rare disease, ideally in the CNS realm, and in the context of early patient access programs
  • Recent experience in early patient access programs and launch of orphan drugs ideally with direct or adjacent experience within the CNS space
  • Hands-on experience in pricing negotiations in Germany
  • Experience and proven success in cross-functional teamwork
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, medical, clinical and regulatory colleagues to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Strong computer skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong formal presentation skills
  • Local and international travel is required up to 30% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Germany Pricing and Access launch strategies are of high quality and are fit-for-purpose
  • Develop pricing & access strategy incorporating additional evidence needs, value proposition beyond the drug, managed entry schemes and other agreements to ensure mutual value, and pricing strategy
  • Ensure high quality and timely delivery of the Germany P&R dossier
  • In collaboration with local and European teams, identify evidence requirements for successful access in Germany and support the creation of program-specific Evidence Plans
  • Ensure a coordinated negotiation strategy with a clearly defined approach
  • Develop appropriate broad stakeholder relationships to support access engagement and education – including appropriate consultation of patients regarding their needs and the impact of the disease in their local context
  • Establish and maintain personal relationships with select payers, advisors, key opinion leaders and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and manage annual strategic plans and budgets for the function with accurate forecasting and prudent decision making
  • Monitor trends and anticipate key developments in Germany with respect to Health Technology Assessment and Government/Payer reimbursement initiatives
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
