Summary
Join our team as the E-commerce General Manager, reporting directly to the CEO. You will spearhead the launch of a new home goods and real estate product line, overseeing research, strategy, implementation, and operational management of 3-4 distinct products. This role demands a proactive leader with diverse skills, from bookkeeping to project management, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will conduct market analysis, develop business and product strategies, manage projects, and lead vendors. Financial oversight, quality control, and stakeholder communication are also key responsibilities. The position involves planning for business scaling and expansion into new markets.
Requirements
- Strong drop shipping experience
- Strong Shopify and Klaviyo experience, setting up and managing online stores
- Product creation, sourcing suppliers
- Fluent English speaking and writing
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. This includes gathering data on potential customers, competitors, and market conditions
- Conduct feasibility studies for new product lines and business concepts, and the requirements for production. Assist in the design of the products and business concepts
- Source and evaluate potential manufacturers, vendors and suppliers to find the best quality, service, and price for product components or services required
- Develop strategic plans on how we will procure and manufacture the new products, and the project roadmap
- Create strategies for product development, launch, and lifecycle management. Determine pricing, distribution, and promotional strategies
- Oversee the implementation of the product strategy through effective project management. This includes setting timelines, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards in every aspect of the business
- Leverage technology for business efficiency, such as utilizing e-commerce platforms like Shopify for online sales, Klaviyo for consumer analytics, or adopting project management tools
- Manage and lead our vendors, ensuring that all members are motivated, engaged, and well-informed of their responsibilities and the companyβs objectives
- Monitor the financial health of the business, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial reporting
- Ensure that all products and services meet the required standards and continuously seek improvements in quality and performance
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including investors, partners, and customers to keep them informed and involved in relevant decisions
- Plan for the scaling of business operations, exploring new markets or segments for expansion, and strategizing on entering new verticals
Preferred Qualifications
- Bookkeeping experience
- Real estate VA experience
- Have worked with a CEO before
