Summary

Join our community at CommentSold as a Merchandising Specialist, collaborating with the merchandising team to identify and promote merchandise trends, curating seasonal product assortments, and optimizing on-site content. You'll manage site categories, troubleshoot content issues, and conduct regular performance reviews. This role is fully remote based in India, preferably from Mumbai or Bangalore.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, graphic design, interaction design, or site experience
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Creative thinker with the ability to conceptualize and implement ideas that support initiatives
  • Adaptable and quick learner in a constantly changing digital environment
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A portfolio showcasing your design skills
  • Must be able to flex at least 4 working hours to overlap with North American time zones; Requirement to work until 3:30pm EST (US)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to identify and promote merchandise trends through engaging site content
  • Curate product assortments and collections based on seasonality, trends, and promotional priorities
  • Conduct daily and weekly reviews of the site heatmap to present findings and suggestions to the team
  • Create, update, and maintain web content within the content management system. Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate issues related to live site content, including product titles, descriptions, imagery, video, variations, and enhanced content
  • Set up new items and maintain records for the master merchandise plan
  • Maintain and update site categories based on seasonal collections and new product lines. Determine appropriate refinements for product listing pages
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on on-site optimizations to improve product discovery and user engagement
  • Monitor industry pricing trends, conduct competitive research, and provide strategic pricing recommendations
  • Develop category-specific merchandising strategies to drive product discoverability and presentation, including product filters, navigation pathways, and landing page experiences
