Join Future plc as the Editor in Chief of Gardening Know How, a leading gardening website. Reporting to the Content Director, you will lead the team in creating industry-leading content across all media channels, driving traffic and ecommerce growth. Responsibilities include delivering best-in-market content aligned with brand strategy, managing content calendars and planners, training the team, and networking with clients and industry contacts. Requirements
- Relevant editorial experience with a background in digital and print media
- Understanding of principles of building audiences on websites and knowledge of different acquisition channels
- In-depth knowledge of all the key content distribution channels
- First-rate knowledge of editorial SEO and analytics
- A strong understanding of and passion for homes and gardens
- Excellent industry contacts
- Experience managing freelance budgets
- People management experience and ability to work as part of a broader senior management team and support the goals of others
Responsibilities
- Deliver traffic and ecommerce growth, and support commercial performance across all platforms
- Lead the team to create industry-leading content across all aspects of gardening and all media channels
- Deliver best-in-the-market content in line with the brand strategy, delighting our target market and supporting commercial aims
- Run the forward planner, content calendar and output planner, and work with central centres of excellence to train your team to be the best
- Be a figurehead for the brand, networking and building relationships with clients and industry contacts
