Summary

Join Wealthsimple's editorial team as a Project Manager to oversee the production of the TLDR newsletter and podcast, and support educational content. You will own the workflow, manage budgets, coordinate staff and freelancers, and spearhead ambitious projects. Requirements

  • Brings 5-10 years of experience in a project management role
  • Takes initiative
  • If the right system isn’t in place, you know how to create it
  • Is supremely organized
  • Identifies and solves potential problems before they can become actual problems
  • Is obsessive about publishing the most interesting, useful, entertaining and accurate money content on the planet
  • Is ok with working somewhat atypical hours
  • Finalizing the newsletter requires availability either Saturday or Sunday afternoons (Eastern time)

Responsibilities

  • Own the newsletter and podcast work flow and support the editorial process from concept to publication
  • This will include tracking the content calendar, assignments, documents, and budgets, and helping ensure every project stays on track and deadlines are met
  • Spearhead ambitious projects including books, special-edition print newsletters, and video series
  • Coordinate a broad group of staff and freelance contributors, including writers, copyeditors, engineers, and fact-checkers
  • You will secure contracts and manage invoices and make sure the team is set up for success
  • Oversee the budget, book recording studios, and occasionally figure out how to get a podcast mic to someone in Vancouver an hour before recording begins
  • Coordinate with teams across the company, including Investment Research, Communications, Social Media, and Legal/Compliance to gather the required feedback and approvals
  • Coordinate publication and distribution of the newsletter with our Lifecycle Customer Marketing team
  • Publish stories to our app and content platforms
