Education Specialist

Summary

Join AAPC as an Education Specialist and support learners in various online courses primarily through email and occasionally by phone. You will act as a subject matter expert, creating and revising educational content. Responsibilities include answering learner questions, managing multiple inboxes, and collaborating with internal and external experts. This remote role requires a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), 5 years of medical coding experience, teaching experience, and CPC certification. Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 5 years of medical coding experience
• Teaching/training experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent Organizational skills; able to prioritize workload and complete tasks effectively
• CPC Certification
• Commitment to accuracy; attention to detail
• Pleasant and cooperative attitude with team-oriented disposition
• Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
• Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on the computer

Responsibilities

• Support AAPC learners in Practicode, self-paced, and other online courses
• Instruct and encourage learners by accurately answering questions via email and phone
• Provide excellent customer service at all times; be respectful, courteous, positive, and professional
• Manage multiple inboxes, responding to all emails within 48 hours
• Create and maintain educational content
• Apply expertise in creating and maintaining AAPC’s content library
• Author, update, and edit text, assessments, lectures, assessment questions, practical application activities, and presentations
• Collaborate with a team of internal and external experts
• Positively contribute to AAPC’s well-established team of coding educators in providing industry-best training and membership experience
