Summary

Lumafield is a well-funded growth stage company that has developed an accessible X-Ray CT scanner for engineers. The company is headquartered in Cambridge, MA and has an office in San Francisco, CA. They are looking for electrical engineers to design and build complex electro-mechanical systems, perform circuit design, bring up boards, and work with other engineers across disciplines.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Prior experience with soldering, breadboarding, system wiring and/or other hands-on electronics skills
• Comfortable using Python, C, and/or Linux
• Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Define system-level specifications for complex electro-mechanical systems
• Perform circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout
• Bring up boards and see them through testing and system integration
• Design and prototype your own projects under mentorship from our electrical engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• A portfolio of work that you can share
• Experience with motor drives and position control
• Experience with cameras or other digital imaging systems
• Familiarity with ECAD software such as Altium Designer, Cadence, Mentor, KiCad, etc
