Email Developer

Summary

Join Hims & Hers Health, Inc. as a Contract Email Developer! This 6-month, 1099 contract position (roughly 20 hours/week) requires you to hand-code custom email templates in HTML/CSS and liquid logic. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality, responsive email experiences for our users. The ideal candidate possesses 2-3 years of email development experience, proficiency in optimizing email code across various devices and clients, and a strong understanding of design systems. Compensation is paid per deliverable, with an estimated range of $60-$360 USD. This is a remote position.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in email development
• Experience optimizing email code across all devices and clients (including Outlook)
• Experience working within an existing design system and corresponding code snippet library
• Experience coding complex email designs (i.e background images, stacking elements on mobile devices, fluid mobile responsive breakpoints, etc)
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Code HTML/CSS email templates for promotional, transactional, and triggered email campaigns
• Manipulate and edit existing HTML/CSS email templates and template modules
• QA emails across a variety of email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.) and devices to ensure consistent appearance and functionality
• Ensure figma designs are accurately replicated in code and solve for design challenges like dark mode rendering
• Utilize liquid logic to customize existing content blocks within email templates and create new content blocks to support a templatized, modular design system and corresponding code library

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within Braze
• Experience coding interactive email templates
