Summary
Join Instructure's growing email marketing team as the Email Marketing Coordinator and support the execution of global customer and partner email marketing programs. Collaborate with marketers and stakeholders to build, schedule, test, and analyze email campaigns using Marketo. You will perform QA on email content, monitor performance metrics, and contribute to A/B testing and personalization efforts. Maintain email templates, stay updated on industry trends, and partner with marketing operations for data and tracking. The ideal candidate possesses 1-2 years of marketing experience, familiarity with email marketing tools (Marketo preferred), and strong organizational and communication skills. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for email marketing are essential.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of marketing experience (internships or hands-on student projects count!)
- Familiarity with email marketing tools—Marketo experience a big plus
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Solid writing and proofreading skills, with an understanding of brand voice
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- A curious mindset and eagerness to learn new tools and marketing tactics
Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of email campaigns for customer and partner audiences, including building emails in Marketo, setting up audience segments, and scheduling sends
- Support the email calendar by helping coordinate campaign deadlines, content needs, and reviews across teams
- Perform thorough QA of email content, links, formatting, and dynamic elements before deployment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather campaign requirements and ensure brand and message alignment
- Help monitor performance metrics like open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, and compile reports for team analysis
- Participate in A/B tests and support personalization efforts to improve engagement
- Maintain email templates and contribute to asset organization and documentation
- Stay up-to-date on email marketing trends, tools, and best practices
- Partner with marketing operations to ensure clean data usage, proper tracking, and alignment with Salesforce campaigns
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting is a bonus
- Experience with project management tools like Asana
- Familiarity with email performance metrics and reporting tools
- Exposure to A/B testing or personalization strategies
- Interest in working in B2B SaaS or edtech
- A passion for marketing automation and customer lifecycle communications
