Summary
Join IXL Learning as an Email Marketing Specialist and play a key role in building and optimizing email marketing campaigns for TPT and Wyzant. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, manage, and launch engaging email campaigns, ensuring high-quality execution and exceptional user experience. You will leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud, A/B testing, and email best practices to improve response rates and conversions. This full-time remote position requires a BA/BS degree, 2+ years of email marketing experience, and proficiency in HTML/CSS and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Requirements
- BA/BS degree required
- 2+ years of email marketing experience
- 1+ year working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, building emails, templates, dynamic fields, and automated journeys
- 1+ year working with customer engagement platforms (ex: Customer.io, Klaviyo, Braze, HubSpot, etc.)
- Proficient with HTML/CSS
- Proficient with email QA, audience segmentation, list management, and email deliverability
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and launch dynamic end-to-end email marketing campaigns
- Manage design requests, feedback and timelines
- Conduct thorough QA of all message elements, including personalized content and mobile device rendering, to ensure the success of email execution
- Work seamlessly in partnership with the content, design, engineering, and product teams
- Performance analysis: Continuously optimize email campaigns through testing, measuring impact, and iterating for improved results in alignment with organizational goals
- Perform list segmentation, audience filtering, list validation; monitor deliverability
- Technical oversight: Collaborate with IT and ESPs to maintain and optimize email infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement enhancements
- Identify, initiate, and develop complex email system-related improvements and efficiencies. Work independently and take initiative to question things
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in email marketing
- Help build and maintain email documentation (data dictionaries, standard operating procedures, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- A basic understanding of AMPscript and/or Liquid template language
- Experience planning, executing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate testing
- Exceptional project management skills, extremely detail-oriented, and ability to multitask
- Strong project management skills with some experience using project management tools (ex: Jira, Airtable, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills: able to anticipate obstacles and identify opportunities
- Solid interpersonal skills: You are a team player with effective written and verbal communication skills, and can work cross-functionally with stakeholders
- Can identify and develop email system-related improvements and efficiencies
- Understands email marketing best practices
