Summary

Join Airbnb's Employee Experience team as a Technical Writer and partner with various stakeholders to improve internal processes and tooling. You will lead documentation strategy and execution across Digital Employee Experience (DEX) initiatives, creating user-centric content for new tools and processes. A typical day involves collaborating on content creation, reviewing existing materials, developing diverse media formats, designing templates, and partnering with knowledge managers. You will also design documentation frameworks for goal-setting, workforce planning, and project execution, and create user guides and training materials. The role includes documenting tool evaluation frameworks, migration guides, and best practices. Finally, you will support knowledge base restructuring and contribute to content governance. This is a remote eligible position, requiring experience in HR tools and technical writing.

Requirements

  • 7 years of technical writing experience, preferably in an HR environment
  • Experience with HR tools required (e.g. Workday, Greenhouse, etc.)
  • Experience using visualization tools (e.g. Miro)
  • Experience with content management systems such as Confluence, RightAnswers
  • Experience building resources with diverse media formats such as videos, graphics, text
  • Work effectively with cross functional partners
  • Work independently and able to use sound judgment to make decisions

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to research, outline, write, and edit engaging new content for DEX initiatives that meets project requirements
  • Review existing content and brainstorm creative ways to enhance and improve it
  • Develop content in diverse media formats to ensure maximum usability, maintaining a consistent voice throughout all documentation
  • Design and sustain templates that align with organizational standards
  • Partner with knowledge managers to identify the best documentation repositories and compile and store content efficiently
  • Design and implement documentation frameworks for goal-setting, workforce planning, and project execution processes
  • Create templates and style guides for consistent documentation across planning tools
  • Write technical documentation for platform integrations and workflows
  • Develop user guides and training materials for new planning tools and processes
  • Document tool evaluation framework and governance processes
  • Create migration guides and documentation for tool consolidation efforts
  • Write user guides for core toolset adoption
  • Develop content strategy for tool usage best practices
  • Support documentation needs for knowledge base restructuring
  • Create templates for capturing employee journey documentation
  • Contribute to content governance framework documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)
