Requirements

  • A technical foundation with a BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience and 5+ years in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar role
  • Expertise in full stack development and system design, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and cloud architectures
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar, and a solid grasp of SQL and database modeling
  • Familiarity with marketing systems (e.g., email marketing platforms, tag management, customer segmentation tools, analytics pipelines) and privacy technologies (e.g., data encryption, anonymization techniques)
  • Experience working with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, including implementing technical solutions to ensure compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision
  • A passion for mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and psychological safety

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and inclusion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Data Science, and Legal to define technical strategies that balance growth opportunities with privacy and compliance requirements
  • Set and drive technical direction, ensuring the development of scalable, maintainable, and secure systems
  • Oversee the design and implementation of privacy-focused systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics pipelines to enable data-driven decision-making while protecting user information
  • Ensure adherence to privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, working with Legal and Product teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • Prioritize and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery of impactful features and technical initiatives
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in engineering such as code reviews, automated testing, performance enhancements, service-oriented architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Own team hiring, performance reviews, and career development to build and retain top engineering talent
