Join Pismo's Cards team as a manager responsible for leading and developing a high-performing engineering team focused on credit, debit, and prepaid card issuing solutions. You will hire and mentor technical personnel, ensuring team engagement and product knowledge. You will guarantee adherence to high-standard development processes and manage the on-call team. The role requires experience managing high-performance teams, agile methodology knowledge, and hands-on experience with specific technologies. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience managing high performance teams
- Knowledge about agile methodology
- Hands-on experience with Java or Golang
- Hands-on experience with Relational DBs
- Hands-on experience with observability tools like: Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or similar
- Experience with Cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience with distributed systems and event driven architecture
- Understand SRE/DevOps concepts
- Previous experience with large-scale/high-throughput services
Responsibilities
- Hire and develop technical personnel by conducting periodic 1:1 sessions and providing regular feedback, always focused on high performance
- Ensure that the team is always engaged and challenged to go beyond what is expected
- Understands the team's products at a deep-level, and support the team members to also have a reasonable knowledge of the products the squad owns
- Delegate work and assignment to team members
- Collaborating with their team to identify and fix technical problems
- Analyzing user's needs and then finding applications to serve them
- Foster a healthy culture within the team in line with the company culture
- Conduct risk analysis to identify areas of improvement
- Guide the team through technical issues and challenges
- Guarantee their teamwork follows high-standards development processes, including PR reviews, code quality, test coverage, robustness, resilience, performance, security and responsiveness
- Manage the oncall team ensuring the quality of incident handling and offering a great experience for the client
- Have an assertive decision-making in adverse environments (short time, pressure from customers, various restrictions)
- Whenever necessary, direct contact with the international team and clients
- Monitoring team services and new features on production environment, always seeking to achieve our SLO's / SLA's
