Join Dandy's New Initiatives team as an Engineering Manager and lead a full-stack engineering team in building innovative tools to improve the clinical experience for dentists and their staff. You will drive execution from early scoping to production reliability, partnering with Product, Design, and Operations. Make pragmatic technical decisions, balancing speed, quality, and maintainability. Own delivery and accountability for your team's systems. Recruit, onboard, and mentor engineers, driving career development and performance management. Help define and evolve Dandy's engineering practices, architecture, and culture. This role requires 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager and 5+ years as a software engineer in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to set and execute a strategic vision and excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience as an engineering manager and 5+ years as a software engineer
- Proven success leading a team through rapid growth, ideally in a startup or high growth environment
- Have a proven ability to set and execute a strategic vision, especially in dynamic environments with competing priorities
- Ability to deeply understand and challenge technical decisions while trusting your team
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across functions
- Track record of shipping product in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Empathy for users, a product sense for what matters, and a bias toward action
- Experience with modern web development technologies (React, GraphQL, Typescript, Python, etc.)
