Engineering Team Lead

Summary

The job description is for a Team Leader position in Aircall's Auth & Internal API Team, responsible for leading the design, development, and operation of critical features. The position is remote but Paris-based.

Requirements

• Solid working experience in Node.js
• 10+ years experience in Software development, including minimum 3 years in similar team lead positions
• Solid experience in building & operating real-time, cloud based and scalable architecture (preferably AWS)
• Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs
• A track record of successfully leading, delivering, and evolving large technical projects
• Achieving results, solving difficult technical challenges and anticipating technical problems ahead of time
• The ability and proven desire to successfully collaborate and communicate across teams to drive projects to completion balancing goals between tech and product
• Success with mentoring, teaching, coaching, and collaborating with engineers
• Previous experience in project and end to end delivery management within an agile organization with a DevOps culture, and familiarized with the usage of tools oriented to agile development
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, ownership and people management skills
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Design, development, deployment, and operation of critical features that add customer value on top of the security
• Maintain operational excellence and re-architect our current system for better reliability, efficiency, and quality
• Design, develop, and operate a critical real-time, event-driven system on a cloud scalable architecture, based on serverless architecture (AWS, Typescript), REST & GraphQL APIs
