Engineering Team Lead

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development
• Experience with Camunda for process automation
• Strong knowledge of React.js for frontend development
• Expertise in Python and Flask for developing scalable applications
• Familiarity with Postgres for database management
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and practices
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes for cloud and containerization
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a product-focused environment
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in the mentioned technologies
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide engineers
• Strong collaborative skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Deep understanding of agile methodologies and their application in software development
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges

Responsibilities

• Recruit, retain, and manage engineering staff within the team’s scope
• Lead a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Mentor Senior and Junior Developer/DevOps engineers, supporting their professional growth
• Work closely with the Delivery Lead and Product Lead to align engineering efforts with product goals
• Actively participate and provide key input in agile ceremonies, ensuring effective team collaboration
• Provide technical guidance based on extensive experience, working closely with Senior engineers in both own and adjacent teams
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the team's products, their dependencies, and their support requirements
• Lead support activities, ensuring the team’s products are reliable and performant
• Manage release activities, ensuring smooth and timely deployments
