Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field
  • Minimum of [5] years in sales, business development, or account management, with a focus on sustainability in the Agriculture sector
  • Strong understanding of sustainability trends and regulations
  • Experience working in the Agriculture industry with merchandising being a strong attribute
  • Proven track record in sales and client relationship management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, from executives to technical teams
  • Ability to understand technical products and translate them into business solutions

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners
  • Understand customer sustainability goals and provide a solution to reaching those goals
  • Present and promote our sustainability products, services, and technologies to potential clients
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring profitability while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date with regulations, competing technologies, and market shifts in sustainability
  • Analyze customer needs, market conditions, and competitors to develop effective sales strategies
  • Collaborate with marketing and sustainability teams to create targeted campaigns that promote our capabilities and offerings
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support and guidance on sustainability regulations and opportunities in voluntary and regulatory markets
  • Address customer inquiries with the team to resolve issues, and ensure smooth implementation of solutions
  • Conduct product demos and presentations for customers to help them understand the benefits and applications of our sustainable technology
  • Track and report on sales pipeline management, sales forecasting, and revenue generation
  • Provide feedback on customer preferences so we are providing products and service they find valuable
  • Work closely with the sustainability, marketing, and product teams to align efforts and ensure consistent messaging
  • Work with our Structured Contracts team to bring leads to their group
  • Work with the tech team to make sure our customer facing interface has

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting and metrics
