Summary
Join Actian as an Enterprise Sales Director to lead and expand our footprint in the MEA region. You will own the go-to-market strategy, focusing on brand building and demand creation. Identify and penetrate new markets, targeting high-potential accounts and driving new business opportunities across SME and mid-market segments. Design and adapt country-specific sales motions, aligning with local market dynamics. Establish and nurture strategic channel partnerships. Take full ownership of the sales cycle, ensuring exceptional customer engagement. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and leverage your network to generate high-quality pipeline. Build strong relationships with prospects and customers, positioning Actian as a long-term partner. Utilize CRM tools effectively to manage pipeline and analyze performance.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ sales and/or account management experience in Data Management (Required)
- Demonstrable experience in high-tech enterprise software sales. Inside and Outside sales (Required)
- Team leadership skills
- Proven ability to engage, negotiate and win new relationships at CXO level in our targeted markets
- Previous knowledge of SaaS, Cloud, Analytics, Database, Data Governance and ETL technologies
- Understanding of recent Cloud trends and key vendor’s products
- Proven track record in selling & positioning IT solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Sales Automation Tools ( Salesforce.com )
- Minimum bachelor’s degree from a leading university or equivalent experience
- Very strong written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to speak and present to large business audiences at conferences & industry forums
- Team player with a positive attitude and good customer service skills
- High levels of self-motivation, adaptability, ease of handling multiple responsibilities and able to work on own with minimal supervision
- Able to meet team goals
Responsibilities
- Own and execute a go-to-market strategy tailored specifically for the MEA region, with a clear focus on brand building and demand creation
- Identify and penetrate greenfield markets by targeting high-potential verticals and accounts—acting as a true market maker
- Develop and close new business opportunities across SME and mid-market segments with a strong focus on customer acquisition and revenue growth
- Design and adapt country-specific sales motions, aligning with local market dynamics, cultural nuances, and regulatory requirements
- Establish and nurture strategic channel partnerships and local ecosystems to drive scale and long-term growth
- Take full ownership of the sales cycle—from proactive prospecting to deal negotiation and closure—ensuring exceptional customer engagement and win rates
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, pipeline goals, and key performance metrics with a data-driven, results-oriented mindset
- Capitalize on inbound leads and marketing campaigns, while actively leveraging your own network to generate high-quality pipeline
- Build trust-based relationships with prospects and customers, positioning Actian as a long-term partner in their data transformation journey
- Utilize CRM tools effectively to manage pipeline, analyze performance, and identify new revenue opportunities
