Summary
Join the Alliance for Justice (AFJ) as an Executive Assistant to the President! This non-exempt position offers a unique opportunity to support the President in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. You will manage the President's calendar, handle communications, coordinate meetings, and prepare materials. The ideal candidate possesses strong tech skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail. This role requires 5-7 years of experience in an office setting, preferably in the nonprofit sector, and a BA degree or equivalent experience. Requirements
- BA degree or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 yearsโ experience in an office setting (preferably nonprofit)
- Strong tech skills including Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to multitask, handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to anticipate needs, foresee outcomes, and act upon requests independently
- Flexibility, patience, and sense of humor
- Interest in law and social justice issues
- Event and travel-planning experience
Responsibilities
- Manage Presidentโs calendar, including scheduling meetings, organizing travel, and preparing travel itineraries for the President
- Answer incoming calls for President from the media, donors, board members, and member organizations
- Coordinate senior staff meetings between President, Vice Presidents, and other senior staff
- Prepare and edit materials for meetings
- Organize and track files and correspondence
- Perform other duties and assist other departments as required
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with EveryAction databases a plus
