Join a leading manufacturer of aerodynamic parts for Class 8 trucks as their Executive Vice President (EVP) of Sales & Marketing. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key member of the executive team, shaping product roadmaps, refining go-to-market strategies, and building brand value. This high-impact role requires strategic direction for sales to OEMs, MOD centers, dealers, and fleets. You will collaborate with senior leadership, manage the sales organization, and ensure compliance with ISO standards. Requirements
- Proven track record as a collaborative, productive, and independent member of a senior executive team
- Demonstrated success in leading sales organizations—from setting strategy to hiring, managing, retaining, and terminating
- Experience in hiring and developing new sales personnel
- Background in ROI selling of aftermarket or component products
- Experience working with large clients, dealers, and end user customers (OEMs, dealers, fleets)
- Strong foundation in product planning, strategic planning, and execution
- Deep expertise in presenting, coaching, contracting, negotiating, and leading change
- Proven experience in structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to see the “big picture” while breaking it down into actionable, tactical goals
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO/CFO, Founder, and senior team to shape product plans
- Engage with the founder, team, customers, and broader market to assess current products
- Review products, intellectual property, and ROI analyses to understand the current proposition
- Identify opportunities to enhance performance, improve products, and reduce costs
- Determine how new (acquired, developed, or partnered) products fit into the product roadmap
- Evaluate current sales and marketing audiences, pitches, and messages
- Listen to the “voice of the customer” to pinpoint gaps in messages, audiences, and platforms
- Develop and execute a robust marketing enhancement plan
- Build and elevate the brand presence, identity, and value in the marketplace
- Organize, direct, and oversee the entire sales function
- Set and manage sales strategy and execution
- Provide strategic direction on selling to OEMs, MOD centers, dealers, and fleets
- Monitor, coach, and manage the performance of the sales organization
- Develop critical tools and reporting for the senior team and Board
- Collaborate on developing and managing sales and marketing budgets with the CEO/CFO
- Ensure compliance with all elements of departmental ISO standards
- Assist with Quality/ISO improvement activities as directed
- Work closely with the senior team to keep customer perspectives on quality at the forefront
- Uphold all safety, environmental, and company policies while performing job activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Class 8 Truck market a plus
- Proven success in selling to fleets, dealers, and truck OEMs a plus
- Background in similarly-sized, lower middle market, private equity-backed companies a plus
