Summary

Ampd Energy is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to manage the operation and after-sales service of their products in Australia. The role involves troubleshooting issues, conducting inspections, collecting data, performing hardware and software tests, and training internal and external teams. The position requires a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience, good knowledge of industrial electrical theory and installation techniques, 3-5 years experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of industrial electrical theory and installation techniques
• Good knowledge and understanding of national electrical code
• 3-5 years experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems
• Experience with the use of multimeters, current clamp probes, megger testers, and ground loop impedance testers
• Understanding of control systems and firmware architecture
• Ability to educate and train others. Supervisory experience is a plus
• Ability to work well independently
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) internally and externally facing clients

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and after-sales service of Ampd Energy's products in Australia
• Manage the tier 1&2 level of support, delivering, installing, training, maintaining, and repairing products at customer sites by third-party field engineering partners
• Provide the tier 2 level of support (remote and on-site) when escalated
