Requirements

  • Ability to support hardware installations
  • Ability to carry hardware equipment and lift up to 100 pounds
  • Travel required up to 50%
  • At least 10 years’ experience in RF Engineering and Field Development support
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • US Citizenship is required; the selected individual must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems integration, troubleshooting, deployment, installation, and demonstration of RF systems at local and remote customer sites
  • Provide logistical support on a programmatic or departmental level
  • Properly package the system for shipment for test site delivery
  • Install the system at the test site
  • Perform operational system testing
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems based on operational defects identified at the test site
  • Provide training and operational support for these systems as necessary
  • Perform a variety of complex technical duties, including systems modification, troubleshooting, tests, and major repairs on electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, as a part of a maintenance and operations process
  • Read and interpret schematic and wiring diagrams, waveforms and diagnostic results, assembly drawings and specifications, and relate these to overall system performance or malfunctions
  • Disassemble and reassemble complex equipment for the repair or replacement of defective parts, wiring, and electrical or mechanical units
  • Assemble and fabricate systems from the component-level, using correct wire wrap, solder, and assembly techniques
  • Assist in the design of electronic circuits and mechanical modifications to permit successful interfacing of equipment to related systems
  • Inspect, test, and advise on the operation and troubleshooting of equipment such as CMNR systems, computer systems, and associated peripheral hardware

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience using a forklift and prior OSHA certification/training
  • An in-depth knowledge of Electronic Theory and associated practices
  • Experience working at with Commercial Marine Navigation Radar (CMNR) systems and high precision RF generation facilities
